Performance LAB: Devised Theatre & the Actor-Creator is a 3-month creative training
project for actors interested in deepening their practice (both as an individual artist and as part of an ensemble group) while developing a full-length theatrical piece to be presented at a professional venue in London.

The Lab functions as a theatre company, meeting twice a week to train and work on a performance
project.

Drawing upon different theatrical traditions, we work towards a combination of preparation, technique
and creativity.

During the sessions, you may expect to work on:

- Psychophysical preparation/practice

- Physical theatre elements

- Movement & composition

- Creative research, improvisation & devising (through both collective and individual work)

- Dramaturgies: the space, the performer, the text, the scene.

- Voicework

- Contemporary aesthetics and theatrical/performance languages
